Best Innovators Award for German-Vietnamese Companies

We are hosting the Best Innovators Award on 26.02.2019 to promote German-Vietnamese business relations.

The International SEPT Program at Leipzig University focusses on research and training of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) worldwide. Special emphasis is placed on promoting entrepreneurship, innovative product development, as well as the internationalization of SMEs. Many joint projects connect the SEPT Program with Vietnam.

In December 2018 SEPT hosted an Innovation Forum in Ho Chi Minh City. Several start-ups and small companies that were interested in entering the German market, presented their business ideas in an elevator pitch competition. The winners of this award won a trip to Germany to present their business idea at the trade fair “Haus-Garten-Freizeit” together with the City of Leipzig where the country of Vietnam is the theme this year.

Do further develop innovative business ideas between Germany and Vietnam, the Best Innovator Award will also be taking place within the framework of the “Haus-Garten-Freizeit” trade fair. The Best Innovators Award is intended to encourage the Vietnamese business community to test new business ideas in Leipzig, as well as giving German entrepreneurs and companies who are interested in expanding to Vietnam a platform to present their ideas and the opportunity for networking.

Selected companies will present their business ideas in a brief 3-minute pitch and compete for two prizes. The City of Leipzig is sponsoring the Jury Prize of €1000 for the company to further develop their business idea. A further prize of €500 has been sponsored by the Leipzig-based German-Vietnamese company Aone GmbH and will be awarded to a company voted for by the audience.

Please see flyer for more details.
