Start of project CEPU to assist Kenyan universities in developing knowledge transfer and labor market orientation

The International SEPT Program in cooperation with University Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Wismar, Lüneburg, and Hasso Plattner Institute contributes to the CEPU (Collaboration for Entrepreneurial Universities) pilot project in Kenya through its unique combination of start-up promotion expertise in Leipzig and vast international experience. SEPT is involved in the development of incubator concepts in Europe and Africa. Through the Incubator in Leipzig (SMILE) it has so far contributed to the support to 450 start-up projects. Especially the lessons learned from further development and sustainable multiplication of well tested training concepts within national networks with roughly 30 Universities in Ghana and Rwanda through the partner universities KNUST and INES-Ruhengeri are an asset for the CEPU project. Local project partners include Kenyatta University in Nairobi, the country's second largest university, and Mount Kenya University. The project is under the coordination by University Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and supported by the DAAD and BMZ.
