The first prize, 800 Euros donated by the Department of Economic Development of the city of Leipzig, was awarded to the team “Augenhöhe 120”. Its clever inventors have integrated a lever propulsion into a manual wheelchair. The levers can be folded down when not in use, thus being out of the way. Even when driving, the propulsion can be changed from manual to lever and thus the speed increased.
The second prize, 500 Euros donated by Ernst & Young, was awarded to the team “futalis”. This business start-up offers dog food which, based on scientific criteria, is balanced to the needs of individual dogs.
The public’s choice award of 500 Euros was donated to the start-up team “Augenhöhe 120” as well.
