MBA program

Financial issues

MBA tuition fee
The tuition fee for the SEPT MBA program is EUR 4,000; payable in four instalments of EUR 1,000 prior to the beginning of every one of the four semesters.

Please note that books and individual study materials are not included in the fees.

Semester matriculation fee
All students of the University of Leipzig must pay a matriculation fee of EUR 92 before a semester begins. An additional charge of EUR 10 for the UniCard must be covered  in the first matriculation only. The enrollment ensures several benefits such as price reduction for alimentation and amusement in the numerous student's cafeterias and clubs, as well as special prices in cultural events in the city. Enrolled students can apply for a separate or shared apartments in a residence of the university. The semester fee also includes access to public transportation in Leipzig during the weekends, holidays and every night  from 19:00 to 4:00, which can be complemented by purchasing a semester ticket for transportation during the day. The UniCard grants rights to use the Albertina Library, the computer center and many other services provided by the University of Leipzig.

Living expenses
Please calculate about EUR 638 per month (including health insurance). In order to fulfill the requirements for obtaining a visa and residence permit as student, international applicants must demonstrate that they have enough resources to cover their living expenses and costs related to their studies. More information about this topic here.

In addition, candidates should take into account that, unless they already live in the area, they will need to provide for fares to and from Leipzig.

German language course
Since the MBA program is fully taught in English, a German course is not mandatory. However, it is highly recommended that students take some German lessons (e.g. an intensive course of 2 to 6 months) before the course begins. The cost for 6-months German course in Leipzig is approx. EUR 3,200 in total, which do not include living expenses.
